*    vert - 0 FORCES a horizontal bar = 1 a vertical bar<br>*    xmid - the x position on the virtual page the center the bar<br>*    ymid - the x position on the virtual page the center the bar<br>*<br>*    if vert,xmid,ymid are not specified, they are selected<br>
