<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">Hi<br><br> I am trying to get the g2ctl script to work under opensuse 11.1.<br> I downloaded wgrib2 directly from cpc.ncep.noaa.gov and established that it does work is in my path etc.<br> It runs fine on a nww3 file eg:<br><br>>wgrib2 -ctl_inv nww3.t18z.grib.grib2<br>1:0:WIND 1,0 0,2,1 none Wind Speed [m/s]<br>2:41554:WDIR 1,0 0,2,0 none Wind Direction (from which blowing) [deg]<br>etc .....<br><br>But if I try using g2ctl i get the following<br><br>wam/wave.20091013> /work/Gradsextra/g2ctl.pl nww3.t18z.grib.grib2<br><br>*** FATAL ERROR: unknown option -ctl_ens ***<br><br>Big problem:<br> either nww3.t18z.grib.grib2 is missing or not a grib file<br> or wgrib2 is not on your path or wgrib2 is too old<br> or can not write to /tmp/g15864.tmp (full disk or permissions).<br>wam/wave.20091013> /work/Gradsextra/g2ctl.pl
