<P>Thanks so much for getting this new release out. Am looking forward to using it but am having some problems.</P>
<P> </P>
<P>Downloaded the superpack zip, copied it to my C drive on a Win XP machine, unzipped it, set the path to the following directory and tried to run it in batch mode but received errors:</P>
<P>C:\Program Files\opengrads\Contents\Cygwin\Versions\2.0.a7.oga.1\i686\</P>
<P> </P>
<P> <BR>C:\grib\scripts>grads -blc 'bering_wind_list.gs'</P>

<P> </P>
<P>Interesting, but it builds the first image in the a series fine, but stackdumps trying to build the second image (i.e. Time Period 3).</P>
<P> </P>
<P>So it doesn't seem to be a pathing issue. Also fails with similar results using other scripts and other options. </P>
<P> </P>
<P>These same scripts works fine in Grads 1.8 and 1.9 through the mutiple series of images. </P>
<P> </P>
<P>Any ideas?</P>
<P> </P>

<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>(See my previous posting announcing a similar release for Linux to learn about what is new in this release --- the Windows build has <SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">all</SPAN> the features of the Linux version). </DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>If you have the necessary privileges to install software on your computer I recoomend the Windows installer (<SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">*-win32_superpack.exe</SPAN>) which will optionally set your path and create an entry in your <SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">[Start]</SPAN></SPAN> menu, placing links on your Desktop. The <SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">[Start]</SPAN></SPAN> menu entry now also includes links to the bundled HTML documentation, with Tutorial, User's Guide and Command Index (from COLA), and "manual pages" for the OpenGrADS extensions. Try out the MERRA and NOMADS Browsers for a (live) graphical user interface to the MERRA reanalysis and NOAA forecast data (GFS, NAM, RUC, Wave) through OpenDAP (a network connection is required).</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV> As before, we are also including a <SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">*-win32_superpack.zip </SPAN>package<SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"> </SPAN>for those users who do not have the admin privileges to install software on their Windows boxes.<SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"> <SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal"> The contents are exactly the same as the </SPAN>*-win32_pack.exe<SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal"> package and are meant to be relocatable: copy the OpenGrADS directory to a USB mem stick and take it on the road with you. The VBscript wrappers at the top remain experimental; I'd appreciate any feedback from people who actually know VBscripting. </SPAN></SPAN></DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV> For those experienced cygwin users preferring a light weight distribution (and willing to set the necessary environment variables), we are again including tarballs with the binaries and extensions.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV> This version has been verified to work on <B>Windows 7 RC</B> (Build 7100).</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV> Please any me know of any issues.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV> Enjoy!</DIV>
