I'm struggling to create a ctl file for a Grib2 file I've downloaded.<br>

next stage is to use gribmap to create the idx file but I can't even get<br>
past the g2ctl stage. My inv file looks fine - something like<br>
1:0:d=2009052700:WIND Wind Speed [m/s]:surface:anl:<br>
2:175642:d=2009052700:WDIR Wind Direction (from which blowing)<br>
[deg]:surface:anl:<br>
3:426839:d=2009052700:UGRD U-Component of Wind [m/s]:surface:anl:<br>

However, the ctl file is created as a blank file. I'm using wgrib2<br>
v0.1.7.8e 2/2009<br>

Any ideas? - I thought I may need -no_profile as its a wave model but it<br>
appears it's something different.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div> Which version of perl are you using? You stand a better chance of you having this working by using perl that comes with cygwin. I need to investigate a long term solution for this problem. I take it is not an option for you to use grads v2.0, is it?</div>
