<DIV>On another note: In case you're concerned that we're fighting a problem isolated to one computer (a logical assumption), I just wanted to let you know I'm running all these tests on 2 different computers. One a recent Dell laptop (no admin rights) with Win XP Pro, Active State Perl, Grads 1.8 with built-in X Window, WGRIB2 (all in the path permanantly) and Grads19 just copied on the hard drive and then put in the path via the set path command as the first command of the batch files I normally use to do work. Rarely do I use the cmd window to do stuff interactive, though it is great for debuggung. For our tests I've been using the command window exclusively. </DIV>

Was just thinking that having 2 instances of Grads and wgrib with active state perl in the mix, maybe there are some sort of conflicts between executables. Just a thought. </DIV>
