Hi there

I plot a similar dataset put out by mmab with no problems at all,
you plot looks similar to our data and I surmise it must be similar.
my ctl file is below, also while obvious you need to set mproj sps
or it won't work

dset ^SICEpsg.20080125.grb
index ^SICEpsg.20080125.grb.idx
undef 9.999E+20
title SICEpsg.20080125.grb
dtype grib 171
pdef 690 710 sps 300.675328651061 360.60492071694 -260.000000 -12.7
xdef 1576 linear 0 0.228426395939086
ydef 233 linear -90 0.228426395939086
tdef 1 linear 00Z25jan2008 1mo
zdef 1 linear 1 1
vars 1
ICECmsl 0 91,102,0 ** Ice concentration (ice=1;no ice=0) [fraction]
ENDVARS
arabonis@b

Looking at your ctl file you probably need to change the "pse to "sps"
i your PDEF line.

hope this helps

Hi GrADS users,

Â

I am having problems to display the Antartica sea ice
concentration made available by the NSIDC. I am using the GrADS for PC,
version 1.8SL11, and my control file is like the one below

Â

DSET C:\dados\diarios\seaice\nt_19790104_f07_v01_s.bin.grads

If I use the PDEF above I get the Antartic data plotted in the
Northern Hemisphere, even though I used -1 which is the parameter for S
polar stereo. In fact to change this parameter has no effect at all. I
have also tried several combinations of numbers as arguments for the
PDEF statement, but none works to plot the Antartic in the South Pole.

Â

Have someone experienced this kind of difficulty?
