Since your data are in grib format you need to run gribmap for the new
ctl file:<br>
gribmap -i var.ctl<br>
It is a good idea change the name of the index file, e.g.:<br>
index ^wrfnmm_d01.all.idx<br>

just copy one ctl-file to a new one called "all.ctl". Then edit
