output my figure in png format using the printim command then inset that into my
text, as you have control of the output image size you can size it perfectly and

to file then use the utility ps2pdf to convert to acrobat pdf format. (I'm not
sure if there is a ps2pdf utility under windows, you may have to hack ghostcript
(not easy), find a linux box or buy acrobat distiller though at some stage
