Try using this map file instead:ftp://cola.gmu.edu/grads/boundaries/newmap

After you download that file, stash it with the other map files and use "set mpdset newmap​"

I used a code ( 'set mpdset hires') to set the map borders, which I know represents the most detailed borders.

But there is no Kazakhstan-Russia border.

Is there any other code or method?
