[gradsusr] North Polar Stereographic Plot Issue

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be that easy — or maybe I am not doing it correctly. Adjusting the control file didn’t seem to make any difference. To further illustrate the issue, I have attached the plot with mpdraw set to ‘off’. You can see that the gaps in the data indicate where land is expected. When I set mpdraw to ‘on’, you can see those gaps are offset from where GrADS is drawing the map. In other words, the map that is drawn by GrADS does not correlate with where the data indicate land should be. And the offset isn’t constant it would seem. In some areas the data are offset to the east, in other areas offset to the west. I have no idea how to fix this problem — it’s a new one for me. If you or anyone else have any additional advice on solving this issue, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks,
Brad

For some reason, the waves seem to be offset from the land region as illustrated in the attached image. I have tried tinkering with mproj setting it to ‘off' and having it set as ‘NPS'. But nothing I have done has resolved this issue. I also cannot seem to find a solution in the archives. Any help would be much appreciated! I have attached the control file I use to plot the data. I am using GrADS Version 2.0.2 (yes, outdated but it’s on a server I cannot control unfortunately).
