[gradsusr] Help with grib2 file

Jason,

That .idx file you have looks like an inventory file, which is not the same
as the index file GrADS needs.  It's (I believe) just wgrib2 output, I use
it to get the byte positions of the variables I care about so I don't need
to download the whole file.

What GrADS needs is an index file made with gribmap -i after you make the
.ctl file.  You do not need to download the .idx file that's next to the
data.  As Jeff pointed out, you should just need to run gribmap -i [control
file] and you should be set.
