Hi, Lyndz –
Your grid definition is incorrect, and your variable declaration has an extra dimension (t). Change the following entries in your descriptor:

Note that I also changed the units for rainMean1 – the hdp utility (which is similar to ncdump for hdf4 files) showed this:

I created a ctl file for TRMM 3A25 that is in HDF format.

Unfortunately, this doesnt work.

I'll appreciate any suggestions on how I can do this in GrADS.
