[gradsusr] guidance request

Dear all 
I need some help. I want to open a netcdf file in GRADS that there are almost 120 times (monthly) in it.  I have to extract these months.how can I extract all the months of January or all the months of may or... in a file?could you give me a script about it?Thank you for your consideration.
