[gradsusr] Time: confused between grid vs. world coordinates

I’ve checked my netcdf file with Panoply: this interface correctly handles the time coordinate. For instance, if i set t=100, Panoply displays the 100th field record and the corresponding time.
I’m missing some basic understanding of Grads: should the time coordinate be evenly distributed?
