Dear Tanmay,

Have you tried the 'set fwrite' option yet?

May be helpful for you to covert the file to a binary file and use the
ctl/grd combination in grads.

Attaching an example herewith

'reinit'
'sdfopen olrfilter2.nc'
'set t 1 365'
'set x 1 144'
'set y 1 33'
'set z 1'
'set gxout fwrite'
'set fwrite olrfil2.dat'
'd olrall'
'disable fwrite'
