[gradsusr] the command for changing color does not work at all

Your problem is easily solved by using ‘set clevs’ and ‘set ccols’ together with ‘gxout shaded’ to control the colors and contour levels of your plot. If you cannot get it to work, then please post the simplest possible version of a script that demonstrates the error.

As for getting a windows version, that ball is in Arlindo’s court at the moment, unless someone else volunteers. Building GrADS for MS Windows is always difficult, but version 2.2 is especially tricky because of the use use of dynamically loaded libraries.

In the meanwhile, if you draw the plot without ‘set ccolor revrain’, and then issue the ‘q shades’ command, you will get information about the contour levels and colors used to draw the plot. You can parse these and re-arrange them do draw the colors in reverse.
