[gradsusr] Making Binary File for Grads Station Data

Hello Grads users,


I'm very new to Grads/programming and am interested in plotting station data with Grads. Right now, I've downloaded the data I'm interested in using from a database and have saved it in a python dictionary, but I'm very confused on the next steps - namely, writing this data to a binary file with a header and making a control file.


I've taken a look at this page: http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/gadoc/aboutstationdata.html but am still lost on how to begin. I'm also unable to access the "opengrads cookbooks" website for examples on how to plot station data.

Any help towards writing a binary file in python is greatly appreciated!
