[gradsusr] How to convert grads output to high resolution jpeg picture ?

GrADS has 12 preset line thickness settings. For image output (and the display) in pre-Cairo builds of GrADS (e.g. 2.0.2), line thickness settings between 1 and 5 produced the same thin line; thickness settings between 6-11 created a thick line, and setting 12 resulted in a fat line. For postscript output, the settings 1 through 12 are distinct. In the Cairo era, line thickness settings are distinct for all image rendering: display, image output, and vector graphics (.ps and .pdf and .svg).

Don’t use the ‘apt’ command to install GrADS. Get a pre-compiled set of binary executables from http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/downloads.php.
