Run gribmap with the -v option and you’ll see whether you are MATCHing any records — it will show you what grib codes it is expecting to see in the descriptor file. You will need codes for the ensembles.

Here is the EDEF entry in a 6-hourly S2S data descriptor file for ecmwf:
edef 11
c 185 28dec2014 255,0
p1 185 28dec2014 255,1
p2 185 28dec2014 255,2
p3 185 28dec2014 255,3
p4 185 28dec2014 255,4
p5 185 28dec2014 255,5
p6 185 28dec2014 255,6
p7 185 28dec2014 255,7
p8 185 28dec2014 255,8
p9 185 28dec2014 255,9
p10 185 28dec2014 255,10
endedef

If you’re still having problems, send your descriptor and the output from gribmap -v.
