[gradsusr] reading s2s ecmwf forecast file

Hi,
I downloaded forecast file from ecmwf s2s data base
1. i checked the file using wgrib2 
1:0:d=2009090100:TPRATE:surface:0-1 day acc fcst:ENS=? table4.6=255 pert=0
2:20949:d=2009090100:TPRATE:surface:0-2 day acc fcst:ENS=? table4.6=255 pert=0
3:41898:d=2009090100:TPRATE:surface:0-3 day acc fcst:ENS=? table4.6=255 pert=0
.
.
.
60:1235991:d=2009090100:TPRATE:surface:0-60 day acc fcst:ENS=? table4.6=255 pert=0
61:1256940:d=2009090100:TPRATE:surface:0-61 day acc fcst:ENS=? table4.6=255 pert=0
62:1277889:d=2009090100:TPRATE:surface:0-62 day acc fcst:ENS=? table4.6=255 pert=0

2. then created the ctl file 
./g2ctl.pl 1Sep2009.grib >rtl.ctl
3. when i try to create the index file I got an error 

macbook$ gribmap -i rtl.ctl
gribmap: scanning GRIB2 file: 1Sep2009.grib 
getpdstemplate: PDS Template 4.61 not defined.
gribmap error: g2_getfld failed: ierr=11

any help
or any other way to read grib file (ncl is welcome)
