[gradsusr] Trouble using gribmap on grb2 data

Hello,

I am trying to use gribmap on ctl files that I was able to create with
g2ctl. I am able to successfully create the ctl file, but when I run
gribmap on the ctl file, I get this message:

Data file type invalid
  --> The invalid description file record is:
  --> dtype grib2
  The data file was not opened.

Gribmap successfully works and I am able to open up regular grib1 files,
but not for grb2 files. I have also download and built some of the
libraries that may be needed such as jasper and zlib.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
