[gradsusr] enable cairo fonts

I'm trying to use cairo fonts with v2.1.a2 but all strings are drawn with
Hershey fonts even though 'set hershey off' is used.

I suspect the TrueType, etc. fonts are not being found on my system even
though directories /usr/share/fonts and /usr/share/X11/fonts exist. So Grads
is defaulting to the Hershey fonts.

Is Grads v2.1.a2 expecting an environment variable such as GADDIR to be set
for cairo fonts to work? Is Grads expecting a particular installation
architecture for the fonts to work?

The documentation indicates that nothing special is needed to enable cairo
fonts.
