[gradsusr] Open Error on Map Data Set Error During Cronjob

Aaron,
I believe the problem is that cron does not read your .bashrc before running jobs. You need to set those environment variables in your scripts, or else set up a symlink for /usr/local/lib/grads that points to /home/hoth/grads.

I'm currently running into a problem with running some grads scripts in a bash script that is on my cron. I'm running on a CentOS 7 system.


The error:

Open Error on Map Data Set: /usr/local/lib/grads/hires


I added the following lines to my .bashrc:

export PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:$PATH
export GADDIR=/home/hoth/grads
export GASCRP=/home/hoth/scripts

I'm a bit perplexed because I have all of the required font.dats and the 3 map sets in /home/hoth/grads/ but when the scripts run via cron, GrADS can't see them.

What's going on?
