The lev value set for the first data file doesn’t match the lev value in the second file, so you need to add a dimension override. Use this instead for your second display:
d hgt.2(t=1,z=1)

Dear Grads users,
I am facing a problem in displaying two variables together, temperature in shades and geopotential height in contours.
Please guide me. Detail is given here.
Thanks
Amina
file 1 is temperature.nc
LON set to 0 360
LAT set to -90 90
LEV set to 0 0
Time values set: 2007:4:15:0 2007:4:15:0
E set to 1 1
file 2 is hgt.nc
LON set to 0 360
LAT set to -90 90
LEV set to 500 500
Time values set: 2007:4:15:18 2007:4:15:18
E set to 1 1
I used the following commands;
sdfopen temperature.nc
sdfopen hgt.nc
set gxout shaded
d air(t=1)
set gxout contour
d hgt.2(t=1)
But this error appears..
