[gradsusr] wind field

Hello everyone,
I am trying to plot differences in wind direction. I am using grads2.0a8
and will appreciate some help.
this is what I have done so far:

maskout(ave(mag(u,v),t=46,t=280,8)-ave(mag(u.2,v.2),t=46,t=280,8),landmask-0.5)'
'set gxout vector'
'set ccolor 0'
'd
skip(ave(u,t=46,t=280,8)-ave(u.2,t=46,t=280,8),20,20);skip(ave(v,t=46,t=280,8)-ave(v.2,t=46,t=280,8),20,20)'
