[gradsusr] Please help me with grads! "Lateral space"?

Hi Jeff, really thanks for answering!
I have a 800x618 pixel default gif image, how could I exactly use the set parea or vpage command? How would you add this space to the left of the coordinates and to the right of the legend using one of those commands?

Thanks again,Giacomo

use either 'set parea' or 'set vpage' to set the limits on the plotting area within the real page or the area of the virtual page within the real page. I think the Grads staff recommends 'set vpage', but I personally prefer 'set parea' since I can play around with the frame border to get what I want with parea, whereas with 'set vpage' you don't have explicit control over the frame itself.

How could I increase the "lateral" space? As you can see the -16, -20 values are for example "cut": I would just like the coloured map to have more space to its left (adding space to the left of the latitude coordinates) and right (next to the legend).
I have also tried with printim namefile.gif xXXX yXXX, but it's the same, the whole gif image is just bigger, but no lateral space.
Thanks all,Giacomo
