[gradsusr] mercator grid in Grads

You’ll need to create a descriptor file for that data format. Please see the documentation at http://iges.org/grads/gadoc/SDFdescriptorfile.html
The dtype ‘hdf5_grid’ should work. The tool h5dump (it is part of the hdf5 library) is useful for seeing all the metadata in your file.
