[gradsusr] variable name error

The documentation for ‘modify’ (http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/gadoc/gradcomdmodify.html) has an example at the bottom for a non-z-varying variable. Just add ‘set z 1 37’ after the ‘set t 1 12’ and your result will include all Z levels.

Dear Kishore

I have one .nc file with one parameter that is ozone mixing ratio at different pressure levels (Say 37) . My aim is to make a climatology and anomaly from the single .nc file which contain 35 years of monthly value.if it is a single level data its easier for me with seasonal modfy command. for different levels i do know how it will work out. hope that you understood the problem

can anyone can help me

sincerely

If I have understood you correctly, you have different datasets for different variables.

you are opening files one by one without closing the previous one. However, GrADS looks for variables only in first opened file, unless you ask the variable using file number. For example, your hgt in file 2 so you may have to use hgt.2, instead of merely hgt, which is absent in file one.

Hope this helps!

Dear GrADS Users
I am trying to create a panel plot using "mul' function. I have two variables in two data set which belongs to NCEP/NCAR Reanalisis. I plot the first map in the panel without any error but while trying to plot the others(4 maps in one screen), GrADS gives me the error that could not recognize the name of the variable. I am attaching my script. Please take a look on it and help me to solve the problem.
(GrADS version: 2.1.a2.oga.1 opengrads, Under ubuntu 14.04)

Best Regards
