Yes. Try running it on your file:
> ncdump -c your-netcdf-filename

and post the output here. If it is very long, you can edit out stuff about the data variables.

Can you share the output from 'ncdump -c’ that is relevant to the time axis? —Jennifer

Hi Jennifer thanks for the reply
I did what you said but now is showing this error
Do you know what could be the error?

gadsdf: Error parsing time_units for SDF file.

Hi, Noele,
GrADS doesn’t suppor udunits2. You need to download ftp://cola.gmu.edu/grads/data2.tar.gz
and put the contents of that tar file in a directory that is either /usr/local/lib/grads/ or some other directory of your choosing. If you put it someplace of your choosing, then set the environment variable GADDIR to point to that location.

Hello GrADS users..

I am trying to open a netcdf file in GrADS, and gives me the following
error:

"Scanning self-describing file: qnet_oaflux.nc<http://qnet_oaflux.nc/>

udunits(3): Couldn't open units database "/usr/local/lib/grads/udunits.dat": No such file or directory
gadsdf: UDUNITS package initialization failure.”

I have a macbook air with udunits version 2 installed

Someone please help me?!

Thanks
