[gradsusr] developing scripts

new user

wish to develop a script to  aquire data from the server , then run it
 through several processes , e.g. temp, instability, shear

except i would like to refine the instability into smaller parts
 cape 1 (1-1500)
cape 2 ( 1500-2500)
cape 3 (2500 + )


Any help much appreciated
