When accessing the MERRA data with grads you need the full url:
sdfopen http://goldsmr2.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov:80/dods/MATMNXOCN

I am in introductory phase for GrADS and assessing the software with open web sources. During this i got some problems in 1. while displaying  the nc file with two variable: could not write the command for displaying any of two variables Regards KP

Dear Krishna,

After opening your nc file with

sdfopen your_file_name.nc

just type

q file

you can see the list of variables in the file.

now to display just type the following...

d var_name

hope you can solve your problem with this...
