Dear All, 
I have posted a new release of GrADS, version 2.1.a2. This release contains the re-implementation of the update option for the gribmap utility (-u), along with some new gribmap options that enable updating without having to re-scan the data files. There are also some new options for 'set sdfwrite', the command for configuring the netcdf output files. 

The GrADS downloads web page (http://iges.org/grads/downloads.html) has been updated with links to the source code and pre-compiled binaries for 64-bit linux and Mac OS X. The full text from the ChangeLog is copied below, please read it carefully, and please look at the updated documentation pages.

	this enables gribmap updates without having to rescan data files
