[gradsusr] Help Soil moisture data?

I am getting an error NetCDF: i/o failure when trying to access data upsing 
'sdfopen http://hydro1.gsfc.nasa.gov:80/dods/NLDAS_NOAH0125_H.002'

This should be a link to 0.125 degree data

Any ideas where I am going wrong?
