Good Afternoon Greg,

By "wind swath," I mean wind distribution at each step/position of a storm through a run/period.

I've attached a graphic to this email for reference.

Perry,

What do you mean by 'swaths'? If you're looking to plot a latitude or longitude band, you can 'maskout' by lat or lon. e.g., maskout(windvar,lat-50) would only plot winds at latitudes north of 50N. You can nest maskout statements to plot a band of latitudes or longitudes.

Greg

Good Morning All,

I've been searching around for a method to plot wind swaths in GrADS but, haven't had much luck.

Has anyone successfully accomplished this?
