[gradsusr] remote data access using grads

It's not clear what you mean by "remote" data. Here you are specifying a
path to a local directory (/ftp/data/1/....). Do you in fact have data 
in this
directory? It's also curious that you specify this directory in the unix 
sense
(/ftp/data/1/...), yet indicate you are on a Windows machine where I
think it would look something like C:\ftp\data\1\...). Finally, you don't
state what exactly the problem is.... do you get an error from GrADS or
Windows? Can you open the file but not display anything? Without the
details it's pretty hard to diagnose the problem.
