[gradsusr] g2ctl command

Hi Ethan,

What OS are you using? If you're using a Linux system, save it with the .pl file extension. The issue is probably because it's trying to read a Perl script that's saved in a .rtf word document file format.

Good evening everyone,

Trying to generate a control file using g2ctl which i have in a rich text format file from this link: ftp://ftp.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/wd51we/g2ctl/g2ctl.  When i try to run the './g2ctl.rtf gfs_4_20140112_1200_009.grb2>gfs_4_20140112_1200_009.ctl' command I get these error messages. Any help would be really appreciated.

./g2ctl.rtf: line 1: {rtf1ansiansicpg1252cocoartf1138cocoasubrtf510: command not found
./g2ctl.rtf: line 2: syntax error near unexpected token `}'
./g2ctl.rtf: line 2: `{\fonttbl\f0\fmodern\fcharset0 Courier;}'
