[gradsusr] file size limit

File size limit for recent versions of GrADS on a 64-bit system is quite high and will most likely depend on the data format and your hardware's memory limits. Really, really big files are awkward to use and move around, it would be better to exploit the templating capability and keep your files a manageable size.
