[gradsusr] Help with fwrite

Hi,

I am having trouble using the data created when setting gxout fwrite.  The data I am starting with is Lambert conformal.  I have attached the starting ctl file (seac4rs_all.ctl).  Then, I used a script (also attached) to output the 0-6 km mean u-velocity through use of the 'fwrite' command.  Lastly, I wrote a ctl file for the new data (ustorm.ctl).

When I open ustorm.ctl and display the data. it is a mess.  I am wondering if there is anything special I need to do with the ustorm.ctl file because the original data is in Lambert conformal?  Or, is there something else I am missing?
