[gradsusr] Zlib issue between grads version 2.0.a9 and 2.0.1

hello,

has anyone solved the mistery behind the zlib issue
between grads version 2.0.a9 and 2.0.1?

It has been reported by Lee Byerle in August last year and it seems to creep
up on more and more grads installatioms.

Unknown command: gxyat

Also tried:

ga-> /full path/gxyat try.png
Unable to locate ENDIF statement for the IF statement at line 303
  In file /full path/gxyat

I downloaded grads-2.0.a9.oga.1and gxyat works fine.

Any suggestions for 2.0.1.oga1?
