[gradsusr] create new data set

Dear Grads Users
 
I have a sst data set and would like to create a new one as follows.
 
I would like to change the values over a region while keeping the others unchanged,
 
For instant I would want to add 5 degrees to temperature over the Atlantic while leaving
the other areas unchanged.
 
Can anyone help?
