[gradsusr] server has been down

Austin,

Your colleague could be referring to the fact that on 7/5 NCEP NOMADS
suffered a hardware failure. This forced us to fail over to a new NOMADS
server that we hadn't quite optimized for users. So since 7/5 we have had
to tune the server with customers on it. This has caused people to notice
issues that are not normal. If you have a specific issue please address it
at this helpdesk and we will happily assist.
