[gradsusr] opening netcdf file

Hi all,

I am trying to open netcdf file in grads with following script:

dset ^./clmforc.Qian.c2006.T62.TPQW.2003-06.nc

options template 365_day_calendar

ydef 192 linear 0.0 1.875

xdef 94 linear -90.0 1.875

tdef time 240 linear 01JUN2003 3hr

 

I could open some file with this method. But, for some files I am getting
this error message: 

--> The invalid description file record is: 

--> ydef 192 linear 0.0 1.87

  The data file was not opened.

 

Can anyone help on what could be the reason? If I remove ydef and
xdef(because I could open some files even without xdef and ydef), I still
get the error message: SDF file has no discernable X coordinate.
