[gradsusr] writing grads output to a *.txt file

Dear Jeff,
            This found to be more simple.......It is really nice......I
have experimented with this and what i have done in opengrads  is given
below for reference....



ga-> sdfopen vwnd.1954.nc
Scanning self-describing file:  vwnd.1954.nc
SDF file vwnd.1954.nc is open as file 1
LON set to 0 360
LAT set to -90 90
LEV set to 1000 1000
Time values set: 1954:1:1:0 1954:1:1:0
E set to 1 1
ga-> set z 1
LEV set to 1000 1000
ga-> set lon 87
LON set to 87.5 87.5
ga-> set lat 10
LAT set to 10 10
ga-> set t 1 100
Time values set: 1954:1:1:0 1954:4:10:0
ga-> q file
File 1 : mean daily NMC reanalysis (1954)
  Descriptor: vwnd.1954.nc
  Binary: vwnd.1954.nc
  Type = Gridded
  Xsize = 144  Ysize = 73  Zsize = 17  Tsize = 365  Esize = 1
  Number of Variables = 1
     vwnd  17  t,z,y,x  mean Daily V wind

ga-> fprintf vwnd vsample.txt
wrote 100 values to file "vsample.txt"
