[gradsusr] Question about problem with g2ctl with a sample lat-long grib2 file

Hello GrADS community. 

This message below is also in the readme file along with sample grib2
file at the following site: 
http://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmoi/grads/reps-glblatlong/


(Caution - the grib2 file is 11MB)


Dear GrADS community: 

(1) I produced a lat-long grid: 

- 0.14 degrees lat x 0.14 deg longitutde
- from -23S to 90N
- from 0 to 360
- file is 2012110600_CMC_naefs-reps_0.14x0.14deg_P000_000.grib2 -
included in this directory


(2) wgrib2 -V 2012110600_CMC_naefs-reps_0.14x0.14deg_P000_000.grib2

This appears to work fine. I can see the records and the -V output of
the grib2 file.


(3) However when I execute the command

g2ctl  2012110600_CMC_naefs-reps_0.14x0.14deg_P000_000.grib2 >
2012110600_CMC_naefs-reps_0.14x0.14deg_P000_000.grib2.ctl

I get the following error messages: 

*** script needs to be modified ***
*** unknown grid ***
Floating point exception 
Done

I am using code from grads_2.0.1

The resulting .ctl file is included in this directory




Would you have any advice?
