If you use hdivg(u,v) you cannot calculate X derivatives when X is
fixed ... the trick is:
 suppose your longitude is 10.0, suppose x=207
 'set y 1 'nlat
 'set z 1 'nlev
 'set x 206 208'
 'define divg=hdivg(u,v)'
 'set x 207'
 'd divg'

it should work
