[gradsusr] GX Package Initialization: Size = 11 8.5 hanging

Hello:
This is technically not a GrADS problem but it does affect my use of GrADS.   I am wondering if anyone has run into the problem and was able to find a solution.  FYI, I am running GrADS on Mac OS X 10.5.8.  I am using v 2.0.1 of GrADS.  The same issue that I will describe below exists for v 2.0.a8 as well.
After I hit the" y" key for the Landscape mode? ('n' for portrait):

The next statement is: GX Package Initialization: Size = 11 8.5

This statement hangs and the X11 window does not open.  This is even after installing a new version of X11.  Everything worked fine as recently as last night but today suddenly they are not.  This is even after restarting the laptop.

Any help on this matter would appreciated.
