[gradsusr] possible bug in define mode

this actually works if I display wind;vw
But again, if I use "wind" in a define expression, it doesn't go well.

define arrows  = wind;vw

Syntax error: expected operator or ')'
Error occurred at column 23

Now, I would really need to define this quantity because I'm going to 
use it later. Is there a way to do that?
