Dear Mason,
Thank you for your answer! No, i don't use opengrads....i work with Grads. I saw something here for it
http://seaice.bplaced.net/gfs-scripts.html
"The scripts are run by commands like gradsdap -lbc "run tmp2m.gs 2008-07-15 06z 24" ".
I follow it and i try with shell script:
#!/bin/csh
set YMD=`date -u '+%Y%m%d'`
grads -blc 'run /home/gempak/Desktop/temp1.gs ${YMD}'
However i have not results :-(
Thank you for your time again!

Hello,
Are you on opengrads? Not sure if this would work but you can try pygrads along with python time module.
Mason

Subject: [gradsusr] Plot GFS data with Grads
Dears,
I try to plot GFS data with grads. For it i use data from here
http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov:9090/dods/gens_bc/gens20120218
After, i have one script and i use
'sdfopen http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov:9090/dods/gens_bc/gens20120218/ge90pt_00z'
However, i wantdate it changes automatically (gens20120218) every day. Any idea for it?
Thank you for your time!
