[gradsusr] regridding issues with lats4d

Well, I now have a grib file, but the time (48 hour fcst) has been changed
to analysis, and the variable has been changed from snodsfc (snow depth
surface) to PRES. I must confess I do not understand this lats parameter
table. How do I know what the contents of this table are, and is there a
chance that snodsfc is missing from that table?
