Good morning (or what ever time zone you are in) Grads users

A question of speed. 
Has anyone done a comparative run time on complex Grads script accessing
OpenDAP data ... to see to what
Degree the run time of a script is machine dependent or data related. 
I have about an hour of scripts for a GFS run ... and was trying to work out
the best method of speeding that
